Cala Millor

Nestled on the idyllic Balearic Island of Mallorca, Cala Millor is a captivating coastal town that straddles the municipalities of Son Servera and Sant Llorenç des Cardassar. Its picturesque setting is complemented by the backdrop of Mt. Na Penyal, situated to the west, providing an enchanting charm to this destination, which has been enticing visitors since its early tourism inception in the early 20th century.

As the largest resort in Eastern Mallorca, Cala Millor boasts a population exceeding 5,000 inhabitants and a plethora of hotels catering to a diverse range of travelers. The history of Cala Millor as a tourist haven began modestly with the establishment of the Hotel Eureka in 1933, marking the town’s foray into the burgeoning tourism industry. The subsequent introduction of the Hotel Universal and the enduring Hotel Talayot soon after paved the way for a transformation, with modern accommodations replacing many of the original structures over the decades. Noteworthy is the Hotel Talayot, which, despite modern refurbishments, retains a link to its historical roots, emblematic of the enduring appeal that the town holds.

Cala Millor is renowned for its pristine, sandy beach, which extends over 1.8 kilometers. The beach is meticulously maintained during the summer months, offering safe and enjoyable conditions for visitors under the watchful eyes of lifeguards and a flag warning system. The pristine sands, free of rocks, are contrasted by the less groomed appearance during winter months, offering a different, yet equally enchanting, coastal experience.
